As October begins, it’s time once again to focus on one of the most important aspects of our safety culture—annual OSHA training. These sessions are more than a compliance requirement; they are a cornerstone of keeping every member of our team safe, informed, and prepared on the job.

Annual OSHA Training Requirements

To remain compliant with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, all employees must complete safety training each year. New hires receive this same training on their first day of employment, but annual refreshers ensure that safety practices stay top of mind for everyone.
You can find the training materials on the Waldsafe website (waldsafe.com) and on the TOBA download site.

Completing Training in October

Throughout the month, departments should schedule and host these mandatory sessions. Be intentional about using any natural downtime during October to complete training, so that everyone has the opportunity to participate without disruption to daily operations.

Accurate Documentation

Recording participation is a crucial aspect of compliance. Please continue using the same documentation sheets provided during onboarding—one sheet per employee—and ensure these records are filed in personnel folders.

Shared Responsibility

OSHA training is mandatory for all employees, and everyone plays a role in ensuring it is completed. Managers should schedule sessions early in the month, leaving time at the end of October to catch anyone who may have been missed.

Support and Questions

If you encounter any challenges or have questions about the process, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Support is available to make sure you and your teams have everything needed for a successful training cycle.

We appreciate your commitment to building and sustaining a safe workplace. Your dedication to completing OSHA training ensures we remain compliant, prepared, and—most importantly—Waldsafe.
