Prepared not scared

September is National Preparedness Month.

This month is a good time to develop and/or review the safety plan you have in place both at work and at home. Important situations to cover include fire, tornado, ammonia leak, and active shooter. Taking the time to discuss and learn about these topics helps us and our loved ones become prepared for emergency events.

We have many policies and plans in place in the event of an emergency situation, but have you taken the time to familiarize yourself with them? We have scheduled training/review sessions for these policies, but that doesn’t mean you have to wait for the next session. Please reach out to your lead or supervisor to learn where you can find this information in your specific facility.
